If Islam is as tolerant as Muslims claim...?

Salam Alaykum (may peace be upon you). You're referring to Muslims, not Islam. There's a big difference between the religion, and the followers. Everything except the first "Churches may not toll their bells with the regularity of the muezzin caterwaul?" is wrong, as Islam doesn't indicate that such things should be done. Regarding to the first real statement, which is true, i do not know much of anything about it, thus i can not answer weather it is allowable in Islam or not, but the rest are not part of Islam, just things that Muslims may have chosen to put up as rules. There is a big difference between Muslims and Islam, as Muslims are imperfect human beings, and Islam is a very deep religion, where one may fall into a bottomless pit if they're not careful.
