Is Maple a better mathematical software than Mathematica for numerical integration?

I have not used either product in ten years but I remember back then doing double integrals with a 1000X1000 grid and it took two days in Maple and was simply not possible in Mathematic. Have the numerical algorithms improved since then and which is better? I don't care about ytical solutions, or graphs or any of that stuff. Just numerical approximations of integrals.
