What's wrong with my finches???

My finches (1 male and 1 female) keep fighting, which, as I read, is pretty normal for them to do every now and then. Every time I see them fight, I always see the female picking at the male, but her feathers are missing around her neck area and his aren't. I thought they were growing back until I looked in the cage today and saw that she has these swollen gland-looking things around her neck that weren't there before. She doesn't seem sick or weak in her behavior, but should I still take her to the vet or shelter to get her checked out?
