Why is a majority allowed to vote on the civil rights of a minority (gay marriage)?

Because of the simple fact that gays were not born that way. Just talk to any and they will tell you. Its a lifestyle choice. Thats like saying my credit score was so low they laughed at me and told me to leave or security would escort me out of the bank. No loan, humiliation and credit discrimination. Isn't that a violation of my civil rights? Wheres the equality in that???
